OK, after some six hours trying to solve this problem, I give up! Perhaps someone here can help me with the following issue (??): (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/weeping.gif)

I’ve been using FlashGet for many years without any problems at all. However, since a few days I am unable to download rar files from rapidshare using FlashGet.

To be specific:

If I highlight multiple or single rar file rapidshare.com links and then click ‘copy’, FlashGet ¨C as usual - opens its ‘Select URL’ window, I press OK and proceed to the ‘Add new download’ window, press OK, and the links are loaded into FlashGet.

BUT all I get are 57kb files as if those links had been removed from rapidshare. Since I checked the links on rapidshare, I know they are OK and exist. (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/confused.gif)

This is the report from FlashGet:

And indeed, if I manually paste each link (with an html appendix) into an Internet Explorer address bar, wait for the rapidshare site to load, then click on the ‘Premium’ download button I ¨C sometimes ¨C can manage to get the link into FlashGet and download the file through FlashGet.

Not only is this rather tedious and time wasting, but it doesn’t always work. (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/weep.gif)

This issue is specific to rar files only, and only with rapidshare links. I have no problems loading any multiple files from other links (incl. rar’s) ¨C this issue seems to be specific to rapidshare and rar links.

I am using MS Vista RTM, IE7 (32bit) and FlashGet v.1.73 build 128.

My rapidshare account is A-Ok and valid (checked).

The rapidshare links come up green-OK when checked via rapidshare.

I presume that for some odd reasons FlashGet can no longer read the rapidshare cookie (it’s there, I’ve checked). I have removed the cookie and replaced it with a fresh one ¨C didn’t make any difference. The 'Enable Cookies' option is checked in Options | Protocol - so that's OK. How else can I make FlashGet recognise the rapidshare cookies again? (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/sweatingbullets.gif)

All FlashGet options/settings are unchanged since installing Vista late last year, and all worked well until a few days ago. No new programmes have been installed for about two weeks.

After an image backup (Acronis), I’ve uninstalled rapidshare (incl. all reg keys/entries) and tried re-installing the same build as well as later builds. FlashGet versions 1.8x cause my IE7 to crash (reliably and every time). The same rapidshare issue also comes up with other download managers (i.e. GetRight et al). After each test I’ve reverted back to the Acronis image I did prior to uninstalling my original FlashGet installation.

All help and advice would be very much appreciated (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/hands.gif) (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/hands.gif) (IMG:http://bbs.betabbs.com/style_emoticons/default/hands.gif)
